Understanding and Applying Financial Concepts

This module includes a series of sessions is designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of the financial terms and concepts associated with starting, organizing, launching and managing a business. After completing this module, you will be able to:

  1. Identify and define key financial terms such as profit, overhead or fixed costs, cost of goods sold, gross profit, variable cost and start-up costs.
  2. Identify potential income streams for your future state business or product.
  3. Develop a pricing strategy for your future state business.
  4. Complete the tasks associated with submitting a bid for a project or responding to an RFP.
