Framed “Franconia Gas” Original Painting
Michelle McElroy (b.1974) is a New Englander who studied painting in Chicago and has been influenced by Edward Hopper and Horace Pippin. Michelle likes to mostly paint scenes of quiet moments that are sometimes from early morning runs, time in New Hampshire, midnight snacks or simple observations involving shadow and light. Here and there she incorporates products or images from the 1970’s and 1980’s as they add a feeling of nostalgia for those who appreciate it.
Mostly working in oil paints, sometimes acrylics, her paintings strive to evoke similar feelings and thoughts she has while painting these scenes.
