Mushroom Invasion, black and white archival inkjet photograph, 17 x 21 framed.
“As a photographer I tend to visualize the world around me in individual images. I compose in my head, even before I take a camera to my eye. Often I will imagine the scenes in black and white. The scenes that play out for me are made up of light and shadow or various levels of contrast and include much of the natural world in which I travel. Our natural world is changing all the time and through my lens I’ve tried to capture a moment in time, allowing the viewer to get really close to observe the textures, the intricacies, and wonder that one could so easily miss.” — Douglas Weisman
