Join this free discussion group to learn about improving your balance!

"Fear of falling is clearly identified as one of the most important and -here’s the good news- most modifiable threats to autonomy in older adults.” --Carol Clements, Better Balance for Life

This winter, Barb Shuchman will facilitate a book discussion series on Better Balance for Life by Carol Clements.

Better Balance for Life outlines a ten-week plan with simple activities to add to everyday routines. This is a book discussion series, and we will not actually be doing the physical activities together.

WREN will supply the books. Participants are welcome to borrow books from our lending library for the duration of the series, with the option to purchase the book at the end of the series.

The group will meet on Mondays at one o'clock for three one-hour sessions. The sessions will be held in WREN's basement conference room.

Session 1 - Introduction to the book & the balance program, Monday, November 2nd at 1:00 pm

Session 2 - Progress and concerns, Monday, January 5th at 1:00 pm

Session 3 - Challenges and victories, Monday, March 2nd at 1:00 pm

This group is limited to a maximum of twelve participants, so RSVP today to reserve your space in this free discussion series.

“Balance is a skill. It gets better with practice and deteriorates without it.”
