Join us in the WREN Gallery to meet author Polly Ingraham, who will discuss her memoir, Unconverted: Memoir of a Marriage. All are welcome; please RSVP here for this free event.
About the book: To marry someone is to participate in a sacramental act, and yet marriage can also be a great mystery. If you don't share the same faith as your spouse (or lifelong partner), the union takes on an added element of challenge. Polly Ingraham's new memoir, Unconverted: Memoir of a Marriage (Rootstock Publishing) traces her journey as an "unchurched" clergy spouse through three decades of marriage, three children, and four relocations. In 2013, her husband was elected to be Episcopal Bishop of New Hampshire.
About the author: A graduate of Dartmouth and the Bread Loaf School of English, Polly lives in Hopkinton, NH. She has spent most of her career working in education, as an English teacher and a career advisor. For the past five years, she has been the School-to-Career Coordinator at Belmont High School, in the Lakes Region. She launched "The Panorama of a Pastor's Wife" blog 15 years ago, when she and her family lived in Amherst, MA. In 2017, she enrolled in the year-long Memoir Incubator program at Grub Street in Boston. Now, she writes regularly on Substack at "Side By Side."
