This class explores the dynamic, often surprising nature of color. Join us to explore how to see color and use it more effectively in your creative work.
Participants will engage in hands-on color exercises to explore the dynamics of color, value, optical illusion, contrast, shade and contrasting combinations. Using cut paper and painted swatches, students will investigate how colors interact and shift depending on context. Historical approaches and color mixing methods from classical painting traditions will also be examined to provide a comprehensive understanding of color.
